Somi Returns with a Catchy ‘Game Plan’

Somi is one of Korea’s most successful solo artists in the industry who placed first after competing in a survival show ‘Produce 101’ and debuting with K-pop group ‘I.O.I’. Soon after the group dispersed, Somi took to the stage as a soloist and made a remarkable debut with her co-composed single ‘Birthday’. The single was released with one other song, ‘Outta My Head’ that she was credited as the writer and composer for.

Somi has since been releasing singles after singles, followed by her first album in 2021 titled ‘XOXO’. Somi participated as a co-writer and co-producer on many of her songs, while also showing off her amazing dance and vocal skills. 

Somi has made her place among K-pop idols, by appearing on a number of variety and reality shows, releasing singles and her overall performance as an artist. Through such exposure and connections with others, Somi has attracted many fans from across the world for her talent and bright personality. As Somi's reputation grew, the demand for new music did as well and led to the release of her most recent EP.

'Game Plan' features five tracks, half of which are co-composed and co-written by Somi. The EP's title track, 'Fast Forward,' features a vibrant music video that paints a fresh new vibe to the stage. In the song, Somi confidently expresses the certainty she feels about this "lover" and her desire to travel forward in time to grasp that moment. Along with its lovey-dovey lyrics, the song incorporates an energetic sound by the use of EDM. 

All in all, Somi has once again got the crowd moving to these catchy songs and lyrics. ‘Fast Forward’ is sure to meet tons of success in its near-future as the artist begins promotions and owns the spotlight!
